The Old Man at the Beach

I met this man at Basent Nagar beach today and this is what happened...
I was sitting at the beach. A young mother and her little boy came and sat near me. This old man who was been begging in the area, came close and asked her for money. The little boy, hardly 3 years old, shouted at him "No no. I dont have any money.". It looked like he was been following what his parents normally do, but in a more innocent way. The beggar gently took a biscuit packet from his pocket and said "Oh is it? Then shall I give you something back." It looked like he was quite angry with the mom and child and was mocking at them. The mother just smiled and politely gave that biscut packet back. She then walked away with the kid.
The old man then came close to me. He was murmuring something. I was expecting these words from his mouth with that angry expression he carried on his face. "Uhh, see sir how these days kids are behaving."
Instead he said " Look sir, I am so surprised. How smart the kids are these days. So cute isnt it ? At his age, I was so scared to talk to anyone" And he just walked away... with the same expression...
That expression wasn't of anger, it was of surprise. He sounded like a caring grandpa...
